Additional Pricing and Service Information

Level 2 Inspection:

  • A Level 2 inspection is recommended for new customers, real estate transactions, existing issues, needed repairs, or when upgrading or installing a new appliance.
  • We recommend inspecting every chimney or appliance yearly, as required by National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Code 211.
  • The Level 2 inspection includes a comprehensive examination of the exterior and interior chimney & fireplace systems, a video camera scan of the flue, a detailed inspection report with findings and recommendations, and an estimate for necessary repairs.
  • As part of the inspection, we check the chimney cap, crown, flashing, masonry, flue liner, damper, appliance connection, smoke chamber, and firebox for cracks, leaks, damage, or other issues.
  • A sweep can be completed the same day if the chimney meets codes and requirements.

Gas Fireplace Service:

  • Recommended once a year and includes troubleshooting and maintenance of the gas system and venting system (if present).
  • A detailed inspection report with findings, recommendations, and an estimate for necessary repairs will be provided.
  • We check the functionality and performance of the valve, pilot, thermopile & thermocouple, burner, gas logs, remote control, glass screen, and gas piping & pressure.
  • Includes light cleaning of the firebox, glass screen, and gas logs.
  • Chimney inspections are not included in this service and are performed separately if necessary.

Chimney Sweep:

  • The Chimney Sweep service includes a Level 1 inspection, as required annually and whenever a sweep is performed.
  • The process involves sweeping the firebox, smoke chamber, and chimney flue using professional tools, including rods, chimney brushes, hand brushes, and an industrial vacuum.
  • A Level 1 inspection involves checking all readily accessible portions of the chimney to verify that the structure is sound and components meet current codes and requirements.
  • This service is intended for annual maintenance when the system is in good condition. If issues are found or repairs are needed, a Level 2 inspection will be required.
